Osees did not spend Friday teasing a rollout. They just put OFF COURSE on Bandcamp: five songs, half an hour of mutant garage-psych motion, and enough organ-rock churn to make the thing feel less like a neat album cycle than a trapdoor opening under the week.
The Bandcamp page lists OFF COURSE as released June 5, 2026, with streaming and download available now. Physical editions are listed separately, with the vinyl and CD variants shipping on or around September 25. That split matters: this is out digitally today, while the objects are still on the way.
The tracklist is compact but not small: the title track runs 9:17, followed by HECATE'S REFLECTION IS A TRICK, THE TRICK, SYRINGE, and THE BRUTE ON HIS KNEES. Osees' own notes describe a return to older writing habits, with jams shaped into songs, recorded live to tape, then finished with Tom Dolas and Brigid Dawson.
The credits keep the core engine visible: John Dwyer on guitar, vocals, and keys; Tom Dolas on keys and percussion; Tim Hellman on bass; Dan Rincon and Paul Quattrone on drums; and Dawson on vocals. Bandcamp also credits Dwyer as producer, with recording at Sonic Ranch and Stu Stu Studio.
That is the right scale for this band. Osees are usually at their best when the songs feel like they have been discovered inside a room full of noise rather than assembled from clean parts. OFF COURSE, at least on paper and in first-contact form, leans hard into that instinct: long jams, weird smoke, live tape energy, and the sense that the band is still chasing the next unstable shape.
OFF COURSE is streaming now through Osees' Bandcamp. Album art is credited to Alex Borrego, with mastering by JJ Golden and mixing/editing by Dwyer.
